The Kansas Legislative Coordinating Council voted unanimously to approve funding for the team’s stadium in Kansas’ Wyandotte County, which is located on the west side of Kansas City, less than 20 miles from Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs have called Arrowhead Stadium their home for more than 50 years, but their stadium’s future was in doubt after voters in Jackson County, Missouri, rejected an extension of a local sales tax that would have funded renovations at Arrowhead.
