Katy Perry announced this Monday on social media that she voted for Kamala Harris, by publishing a photograph of her filling out the ballot.
“This is Kamala Harris. “She’s going to be… well… we are the only ones who can finish that statement: Vote!” wrote the pop star on her X account.
The 40-year-old singer also published a video she spent with Harris in which she called her one of her “favorite senators” and in which the current US vice president called herself a fan of the author of ‘California Gurls’.
Perry’s support for the Democrat extends to a performance scheduled for this afternoon at a rally in Pittsburgh, a major city in the state of Pennsylvania, the most important of the seven key states that will determine the outcome of the presidential election.

In that state Harris will also have the support of Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey, who will have an appearance at an event in Philadelphia, as well as the Puerto Rican Ricky Martin, and other artists such as DJ Cassidy, Fat Joe, DJ Jazzy Jeff or The Roots.
Among the artists who have joined the support for Harris are Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Mick Jagger, Harrison Ford, Madonna, among others
