For this season, the arrival of up to 38 million tons of sargazo Due to the great disposition of nutrients, chemicals and waste thrown into the sea, climate change, as well as the alteration of marine currents cycles. The scientific community also warns that this situation will not improve from here to 2050.

At least 23 countries will be affected by high concentrations in coastal waters and beaches, with the consequent negative economic impact, severe environmental damage, health problems and excessive and burdensome expense for collection, processing and management.

Specialists estimate losses between 4 thousand and 6 billion Dollars for merchants, entrepreneurs, service providers, authorities, hospitals, operators, cruise lines, fishermen, real estate, authorities, hotels, restaurants and beach clubs, tourist activities and in general the development of the area.

The problem is increasingly complex since, during its tour, the sargasso bioacumula chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, plastics, heavy metals and metalloids, including cyanide and arsenic.

When covering the waters, it prevents the light from filtering to the bottom causing corals, marine pastures and other algae not to complete photosynthesis, which also affects more than 120 marine species of fish, invertebrates, molluscs and mammals.

In the beaches the sargassum breaks down openly and high temperatures, generates numerous environmental, economic and social problems. Algae begin to smell bad, penetrate the subsoil and change the color of the landscape in addition to attracting and generating large populations of insects.

Its expansive proliferation consumes huge amounts of oxygen, causing anoxia y emitting toxic gases such as ammonia, sulfide and methane acid. Its collection also erodes the sand of the beaches.

Not only are bad smells, going to the bottom of the problem is to recognize that bacteria, parasites and microorganisms hosted in the sargassum can cause severe lesions, spots and/or discoloration in the skin, accompanied by diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fever, low pressure and other side effects such as stomach, respiratory and difficulty suffering.

Deposit the sargassum in open-pit todges- many times clandestine- to dry it only aggravates the problem since it requires a lot of time, continues to emanate dangerous gases and mix with sand, brine, garbage and all kinds of waste generating leachate that end up infiltrating the earth and underground aquifers.

Again, it is technological disruption solutions that can address the most serious effects of the sargazo, a solution that based on particle physics and vortex collision can process the sargassum, dehydrate it, demolish it, inoculate it and transform it into a useful powder for biofuels, bioplastic, nano materials and biofertilizers, among other uses.

Mobile units that can operate in real time from platforms, barges or all -terrain containers, scalable, adaptable, which prevent gas emission, reduce load volume and carbon footprint, reducing costs and generating income.

When operating in the sea, the systems operate with all the necessary environmental reserves and care to protect marine species, can be moved to sites near the current containment barriers and avoid the arrival of the sargazo to the beaches.

Through this system, the sunlight blockade towards the bottom of the sea is reduced and eliminates exponential growth, congestion and blockages of fishing and recreational routes, which would avoid damage to the propelling of ships, yachts and boats protecting, at the same time, marine and coral pastures.

The marine areas affected by Sargazo’s massive presence can be fed with nano-oxigenation injection to remedy the affectation to ecosystems. The country could be a pioneer in the technological development of the region assuming commercial, industrial and productive leadership.

The beach collectors reduce working time, mitigate side effects and reduce costs significantly, also protecting the health of visitors, workers and tourists. Less discomfort, more efficiency, better results.

Existing deposits and dumps can also be converted with this type of technologies and systems. Thousands of accumulated tons would be used to stop emitting gases, bad odors, infiltrating the ground while rotting and affecting the entire population and their economic activities.

Additionally, the sargasso can be transformed into an activated bio-carbon for the kidnapping of carbon dioxide, the potential acquisition of bonds and being used in the remediation of saline, deserts and/or returning to the jungle some of its exhausted fertility.

This solution has the potential to rehabilitate thousands of hectares of fertile soils and projects of productive and sustainable areas throughout the region, generating stable, high -level work sources and productive improvement, adding areas of industrialization alternative to tourism.

Climate boiling has no reverse, the factors that stimulate the formation of the sargassum will remain for a long time, it is time to respond to this problem with the best available technology, a new way of thinking and an innovative and disruptive management model.
