Fallout season 2 just ended, and if you stuck around for the mid-credits scene, you got a glimpse of blueprints labeled “Liberty Prime Alpha”. The musical queue signals it as something big, but if you haven’t played the Fallout games, you might be a little confused as to what you’re looking at.
Fallout season 2 wrapped up on February 3, 2026, and already, plans are being set for the next season of Amazon Prime’s video game adaptation. Production is set to start on season 3 in May 2026, and it seems like we alreadly have a big clue about a major plot point for the next installment of the series.
Quintus Reveals Blueprints For Liberty Prime Alpha In Fallout Season 2’s Finale
At the end of season 2, episode 8, “The Strip”, we get a mid-credits scene of Dane (Xelia Mendes-Jones) bringing a rolled-up scroll to Quintus (Michael Cristofer), who is going on about shedding his title of “Quintus the Unifier” and becoming “Quintus the Destroyer”.
As he talks, Quintus unfurls the scroll to reveal blueprints of a large mechanized robot, sort of like one of the Jaegers in Pacific Rim. The camera pans down to the words “Liberty Prime Alpha”. Whatever happens in Fallout season 3 is likely going to involve this foreboding machine.
What Liberty Prime Alpha Is In The Fallout Games
Liberty Prime Alpha won’t be too mysterious to fans of the Fallout games. In the video game franchise, Liberty Prime Alpha is a giant robot that the United States built in the years leading up to the Great War. It’s about 40-feet-tall, and filled with an absurd amount of weaponry, and repeatedly spouts preprogrammed lines about freedom.
He also says a lot of over-the-top anti-communist propaganda. Its first appearance is in Fallout 3, and it later appears in Fallout 4. However, it was never used against anyone because the United States could not figure out how to power the massive robot. It was later discovered in the ruins of Washington, D.C., by the Brotherhood of Steel.
What Liberty Prime Alpha Means For Fallout Season 3
Even after the Brotherhood of Steel rediscovers Liberty Prime Alpha, the problem with powering the massive machine is still an issue. Eventually, it does become fully operational with the player character’s help, and is used to fight against the Enclave to mixed results.
Fallout season 3 could center on the Brotherhood of Steel attempting to revive Liberty Prime Alpha. As it appears that the antagonistic sect of the Brotherhood of Steel, led by Quintus, has their hands on the blueprints, the robot could be used for some nefarious plans.
It is important to note that the blueprints specifically call out this Liberty Prime as “Alpha”, whereas in Fallout 4, we see Liberty Prime MK II in action. It’s possible that in Fallout season 3, we could see not one, but two Liberty Primes striding across the desert.
