Mexico has seized 26.5 tons of cocaine in maritime actions so far from the administration of Claudia Sheinbaum, the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) reported Thursday.

Regarding these actions, the head of the Ministry of Citizen Security and Protection, (SSPC), reported in a message on social networks that Semar “arrested three foreign people, who were aboard two vessels; and more than 1,900 kilograms of cocaine were secured. ”
He added that Semar, from October 1, 2024 to date, has assured 26.5 tons of cocaine in the high seas.
In the statement, the SEMAR said that in the present administration, during the development of maritime operations, 26.5 tons of alleged cocaine, 34 vessels, a low profile vessel (semi -submeardable) have been secured.
