Law firm Jackson Walker is increasing its lease at the KPMG Plaza in the Dallas Arts District.
The firm, which ranks as the second-largest in the Metroplex by attorney count, extended its lease and added another floor to its space in the 18-story tower at 2323 Ross Avenue, the Dallas Business Journal reported. The expansion brings Jackson Walker’s presence in the building to almost 148,000 square feet across six floors.
CBRE’s Phil Puckett and Jeff Ellerman facilitated lease negotiations on behalf of Jackson Walker, while Stream Realty Partners’ Matt Wieser, J.J. Leonard and Marissa Parkin represented the building’s owner, Masaveu Real Estate US, a subsidiary of Corporación Masaveu.
Masaveu purchased the 450,000-square-foot tower from Dallas-based developer Hall Group in 2019 for $240 million, or $533 per square foot.
Jackson Walker, established in 1887, moved into KPMG Plaza as an anchor tenant in 2015 and has increased its space by nearly 50 percent since then.
This latest expansion marks a long-term investment in the Dallas Arts District, even as other firms have been reducing space or shifting their operations to Uptown.
Transportation and natural gas company EnLink Midstream shed 78,000 square feet across two entire floors in the nearby One Arts Plaza last year.
Additionally, East Coast law firm Greenberg Traurig plans to exit its 43,000-square-foot space in the 55-story Dallas Arts Tower in Spring 2026 for a larger lease spanning 49,400 square feet in the 20-story McKinney & Olive office building, located at 2021 McKinney Avenue, on the Uptown side of Woodall Rodgers Freeway.
Jackson Walker employs 397 people in the DFW area, including 222 attorneys in Dallas. The additional space will enable the firm to bring on 50 more attorneys and 30 other staff members.
KPMG Plaza is in close proximity to the Meyerson Symphony Center and Klyde Warren Park.
Amenities in the building include a fitness center and various dining options. Notable tenants include KPMG, Hall Group, and law firms like Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath and Bell Nunnally & Martin.
