The Mayan Train will conclude 2025 with positive results in the mobilization of passengers and high acceptance in its tourist packages, the project director, Óscar David Lozano Águila, reported this Thursday, Quadratín México reports.
The official highlighted that the goal of 1.2 million users was reached since December 3, and that the expectation is to close the year with 1 million 383 thousand people transported, consolidating the railway system as a key axis for connectivity and tourism in the southeast of the country.

Mayan Train tourist packages announced
During the press conference at the National Palace, Lozano Águila highlighted that the coordination with the Ministry of Tourism, Mexican Aviation and the Mundo Maya group allowed the design of tourist packages that were widely accepted, as well as routes popular among visitors.
Lozano Águila also announced the start of the long-distance train, the luxury unit of the Mayan Train, which will have tourist class carriages, first class, restaurant and cabins. The first inaugural package will be available for the end-of-year celebrations, i.e. December 29-31 and January 1.
