The substitute municipal president in Uruapan, Grecia Quiroz, stated that those who killed her husband do not know that the La Sombreriza project has an unstoppable force, and that in 2027 they will receive a vote of punishment.
“Those who ordered Carlos Manzo to be killed did not know that this hat has an unstoppable, tireless force and that in 2027 we are going to give them that vote of punishment because we are going to uphold the memory of Carlos Manzo,” he declared at a rally in La Pérgola de Uruapan, according to a report from the Quadratin México agency.
From a podium, Quiroz addressed the more than 60,000 people gathered and told them that she will continue to be her husband Manzo’s instrument to continue with the project.
“This fight will not be in vain, they may have taken away our leader, but they left us a hero for whom we are going to fight and we are going to honor his memory,” he assured.
