Buenos Aires, (Reuters) .- MercadoLibre said that its business unit Pago will ask the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) to a totally digital bank license, as it did in Brazil and Mexico.
“We are building the largest Digital Bank in Latin America,” said Juan Martín de la Serna, president of Mercado Libre Argentina.
“We want to change the way users interact with the financial system with a digital bank in which everyone wins,” he added.
The Electronic Commerce and Latin American Competition of Amazon and China Alibaba has accumulated a market capitalization of 131,000 million dollars.
