Messi has a “base” salary of 12 million dollars, but a guaranteed compensation of 20.4 million, which includes bonuses and variables.
South Korean Heung Min Son, forward for Los Angeles FC, is the second highest paid, with $11,152,000.
The podium is completed by Spanish Sergio Busquets, Inter Miami midfielder, with a salary of 8.7 million dollars.
