The Jamaican Tyrece Hyman and the Mexican Antonia Sánchez made Wednesday owners of the 400 meters fences at the Pan American Junior Asunción 2025 Games.
Hyman jumped the obstacles with a time of 48 seconds and 90 hundredths, while the Brazilian Matheus da Silva did it in 49 seconds and 28 hundredths and stayed with the money.
The bronze went to the Jamaican Romario Stewart with a mark of 50 seconds and 11 hundredths.

For women, Sánchez stopped the stopwatch in 55 seconds and 91 hundredths, which motivated the money to go to the hands of the American Virginian Michelle Smith, with 56 seconds and 61 hundredths.
The third step on the podium was for the Jamaican Daynea Colstock, who stopped the stopwatch at 58.78.
Athletics tests will go until Friday, August 22 at the Stadium of the Complex of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee in Luque, a city adjacent to Asunción.
