Mexican companies will invest in extensions and operations during 2025 even with uncertainty for Donald Trump’s tariff policies and the least economic growth, said Rolando Vega Sáenz, president of the Mexican Business Council (CMN).

“The companies that make up the Council and in companies in general, cannot be stopped, there may be adjustments for the economic situation and the least growth, but that there will be investment, there will be investment,” said the businessman.

Rolando Vega Sáenz said they held a meeting with Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy, to see the strategy and route to be followed by Donald Trump’s tariffs.

“We are within the Mexican Treaty, the United States and Canada (TMEC), which has been the most successful commercial agreement worldwide,” he said.

North America has a very important value, so “there will be negotiations and I have confidence that this will continue,” added the president of the CMN.

The members of the Mexican Business Council held a meeting with Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy (SE), to share all the work of visit and strategy with the review of the TMEC, he said.

“We treat the points in general of the Council, economic activity, development and important points such as Infonavit reform enter.”
