The Mexican Daniela Camberos was selected by the UN as one of the creators of the 5 most important innovations in the world in the “UNIDO ONE World Sustainability Awards 2025” thanks to her project “Ramona”, an artificial intelligence (AI) tool designed to combat false job offers and prevent risks of human trafficking.
This Sunday, Camberos represented Mexico in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the official ceremony of the “World Industry Summit 2025”, before 173 UN Member States, global industry leaders and international investors.
Camberos’ inspiration to develop this AI arose from the crisis that Mexico and several Latin American countries are suffering, with the search for employment being the one that has become a dangerous terrain with thousands of people reporting having been victims of false job offers that lead to disappearances, exploitation or trafficking networks.
To address this problem, Daniela developed “Ramona” (@IxmunaBot), a free AI available on Telegram that analyzes and validates job offers, detects risks and provides career guidance to those who cannot afford specialized advice. Thanks to its reach and ease of use, “Ramona” has already saved real lives, according to organizations working in the region.

“Ramona”: technology made in Mexico that saves lives
In addition to this recognition, Daniela Camberos’ career stands out for her presence in global innovation spaces: she was the first Mexican in history invited to the UN Science, Technology and Innovation Forum, she is part of Bloomberg Global Catalyst, she was selected for Women in AI 2025 (sponsored by META) and she collaborates with the UNESCO Women for Ethical AI initiative.
Their path consolidates a clear vision: that Latin America not only consumes technology, but creates it and uses it to solve the most urgent problems.
The naming of “Ramona” among the five most important innovations in the world positions Mexico as an international benchmark in technological development with social impact.
“This is the innovation that matters: the one that is born from those who lived through the crisis, the one that is distributed for free, the one that saves lives,” says the organization. With this achievement, Camberos consolidates a powerful example of Latin American leadership on the global stage.
