This year, 6 out of 10 Mexicans have decided to make their intake healthier, according to a series of “gastronomic resolutions” released by the reservation platform OpenTable.
“Eating healthier tops the list of 2025 gastronomic resolutions for Mexicans,” says the company, according to the response of 63% of those consulted.
Along with the plan to eat healthier, Mexicans will also seek to try international cuisines, OpenTable added.

Regarding alcohol intake, “65% of Mexicans are prioritizing drinking less in 2025,” according to the information collected by the platform.
This gastronomic resolution coincides with the trend of restaurants offering mocktails, as drinks are called that imitate a cocktail, but do not contain alcohol.
“64% of Mexicans have seen an increase in non-alcoholic beverage options in bars and restaurants in the last five years,” says Juan Luis Reed, OpenTable Senior Director for LATAM and the Caribbean.
Finally, OpenTable anticipated that in 2025 eight out of every 10 Mexicans expect to visit restaurants more frequently than the previous year.
OpenTable supports more than 60,000 restaurants around the world, helping fill 1.7 billion seats each year. The company currently invests in artificial intelligence, and is optimistic about the future of gastronomy in Mexico.
