The Secretariats of Economy and Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) closed the case regarding the alleged denial of freedom of association and collective bargaining rights in the company Odisa Concrete Equipment (ODISA), located in Atotonilco de Tula, Hidalgo.
According to information from the agencies, under the Rapid Response Labor Mechanism in Specific Facilities (MLRR) of Annex 31-A of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC), during the 45 days of the investigation, Odisa carried out the following repair actions, in coordination with the STPS:
- It published and disseminated a letter of commitment to neutrality in union affairs and a document that defines the guidelines of conduct by the company’s personnel.
- Trained all plant personnel on the content of the neutrality letter and conduct guidelines.
- Facilitated the STPS to train all plant personnel on the rights of freedom of association and collective bargaining in Mexico.
- He reinstated a hard-working person.
- He signed a commitment letter in which he expressed his willingness to reinstate or liquidate a worker, according to his choice, in accordance with the provisions of the LFT.
- He refunded union dues improperly deducted from workers.
Both secretariats assured that through the actions described, carried out within 45 days after receiving the review request, the company and the workers of this workplace have better conditions to assert their labor rights, especially freedom. of association and collective bargaining.
Derived from the above, Mexico and the United States concluded that the facts that were the subject of the review request within the framework of the MLRR were resolved through the actions indicated.
