Mexico City, (EFE) .- The Government of Mexico facilitated the departure of 183 nationals that were in countries of the Middle East, after 12 days of the scaling of the war between Iran and Israel, the Foreign Ministry reported Monday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) specified in a statement that Mexican embassies in countries such as Iran, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan maintain permanent contact with Mexican citizens who reside or travel through the area, to provide attention and facilitate their exit if necessary.
In its most recent update, the Foreign Ministry explained that the Embassy in Iran has managed the evacuation of 33 people through Turkey and Azerbaijan, with the logistical support of the diplomatic headquarters in Baku.
In Israel, one of the most critical areas since the scaling of the conflict with Iran for two weeks, assistance has been given so that 121 Mexican people leave the country through land and sea routes towards Egypt, Jordan and Cyprus.

Meanwhile, in Jordan, the number of nationals who have come out is maintained at 29, without new recent movements due to intermittency in the closure of airspace.
The diplomatic representations in Qatar and United Arab Emirates – which also covers Iraq – continues to contact Mexican people registered in their emergency systems.
According to the SRE, all nationals in those countries “are well” and have not so far required assistance to leave the territory.
“We reiterate the emergency numbers of Mexican embassies in the region and the recommendation to avoid non -essential trips in the area,” the Foreign Ministry concluded in their note.
After the war escalation in the Middle East, after the United States bombings to Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend and Iran’s response this Monday with an attack on the base to the Udeid in Qatar, President Donald Trump announced that Israel and they will agreed a “high total fire” of twelve hours, time after which he pointed out that the war between the two countries will be considered.
