Mexico reduced the ban on chicken shipments from Brazil, now establishing the restriction only for products from the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, instead of the previous prohibition for the entire country, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture reported Tuesday.

The South American Government pointed out in a statement that Mauritania announced a prohibition throughout the country of Brazilian chicken imports, while Oman suspended chicken imports from the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Brazil identified last month a case of Aviar flu on a commercial farm by Rio Grande do Sul, which caused commercial restrictions by dozens of countries.
