The strike in the National Monte de Piedad that began in the first minute of Wednesday lacks sustenance and only attends the interests of the union dome, the institution said.
He affirmed that unlike the union, the institution has fulfilled the collective work contract (CCT) and the agreement signed in March 2024 after a strike that lasted almost a month.
“We want to inform our collaborators and public opinion that the accusations recently issued by union representation as a justification of the strike lack livelihoods and do not correspond to reality,” he said in a statement.
He accused the union leadership of hindering the process of coverage of vacancies and promotions, which included open postulation, training and evaluations, in order to maintain illegal control of the allocation of places.
He affirmed that the guild prohibited the participation of workers in the process.
He also questioned the union signal that the Administration has not facilitated permits to sectional secretaries to do its work, then, he added, the union omitted to say that the Mount of Piedad has not denied the granting, but has only requested the official documentation that the accredit sectional representatives, without that to date it has had an answer, which prevents the request of the request.
“It is important to clarify that all the rights and benefits of the workers are completely protected and guaranteed by the institution,” he said.

The Mount of Piedad added that these rights have never been in discussion, nor has it sought to modify, change or extinguish them during the negotiation process.
The National Union of Employees and Workers of the National Monte de Piedad, of Loan Loan Companies and Financial Services indicated that the strike broke out before the closure and the constant violations of their CCT and workers’ rights.
“We have faced a conflict during the last five years, originated by attempts to liquidate the collective labor contract and fire employees,” Arturo Zayún González, general secretary of the guild, told the press.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare called for dialogue and reiterated its willingness to collaborate with both parties in order to find solutions to the conflict, respecting the rights of workers and seeking the viability of the National Monte de Piedad.
