Mortal Kombat 1 is keeping its bloody waterfall of post-launch DLC going with a list of new crossover fighters that include Ghostface from Scream, Robert Patrick’s T-1000 Terminator, and Conan the Barbarian.
A lineup of six new fighters was revealed by NetherRealm Studios during San Diego Comic-Con 2024 today. No gameplay was shown, but we do have a first-look image of every fighter joining Mortal Kombat 1’s roster. The DLC, titled Khaos Reigns, includes the three aforementioned movie representatives, as well as Noob Saibot, Sektor, and Cyrax.

Like many characters in the alternate universe that is Mortal Kombat 1, Noob Saibot is sporting a new look. It’s Sektor and Cyrax who get the biggest changes, though, as NetherRealm has revealed that both characters are female in this universe. Sektor voice actor Erika Ishii also says that their character is not even a robot like in past entries and is instead human this time around.
Ghostface is one character that has sported nearly the exact same look across each movie the character has appeared in, so it’s no surprise to see them appear here with few changes. Terminators, on the other hand, come in many shapes and sizes, with NetherRealm using Arnold Schwarzenegger’s take on the character for DLC in Mortal Kombat 11. Patrick’s likeness has been scanned for Khaos Reigns, while Conan brings back Schwarzenegger’s looks for another round.

It’s currently unclear when each of Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack 2 fighters will be released. It’s also unclear when gameplay will be released or how NetherRealm has chosen to tackle each of their innevitably gorey Fatalities. You can watch the official Khaos Reigns reveal trailer here.
Unfortunately, every character in the Khaos Reigns Kombat Pack 2 was known a month ahead of today’s SDCC reveal thanks to a datamine leak. Still, the official announcement brings fresh looks at how these characters will be portrayed, with NetherRealm confirming that Patrick, at least, returned to provide voice work for his iconic ’90s villain. It’s unclear who will being voicing Conan and Ghostface.
Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack 2 continues the studio’s trend of bringing crossover characters into the fold. In addition to a host of other classic fighters, Kombat Pack 1 introduced a few not-so-super comic book characters, including Homelander from The Boys and Omni-Man from Invincible.
