Elon Musk interrupted a journalist who began asking about a story of the New York Times that alleged that he used a large amount of drugs and traveled with a box of pills that Adderall seemed to contain last year while increasing his donations to President Donald Trump, criticizing the newspaper, but without denying the report.

Key data

Musk arrested the journalist in the middle of the question when he began asking about the story, saying “Is that the same publication that a Pulitzer prize for false reports on Russiagate?” During a joint press conference with Trump at the Oval office to commemorate his last day at the White House, referring to the newspaper’s reports on the Russian interference in the 2016 demand and the demand for defamation of Trump against the Pulitzer Award Board.

The report, published hours before the press conference, alleges that Musk told his confidants that he was taking so much ketamine that the bladder affected him, according to anonymous sources that they said that Musk also took ecstasy and psychedelic fungi.

The Times also reported that he saw a photograph that showed a medication box with which Musk was traveling that contained about 20 pills, including Adderall.

The alleged drug use was overlapping with its campaign activity last year in favor of Trump, with a support in July followed by 250 million dollars to help you choose it.

Neither Musk nor his lawyer responded to the request for comments from the Times, but Musk said previously that they prescribed ketamine for depression and took small amounts as prescribed.

The White House praised Musk’s work in Doge but did not recognize drug accusations, according to a statement issued The Times after the story was published.

Tangent

The Wall Street Journal reported last year that the consumption of recreational drugs by Musk, such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, fungi and ketamine, worried some executives and members of the board of directors of their companies.

Key history

Musk has reduced his role in the Trump administration in recent weeks after his brief but turbulent management in Doge, adopting a drastic strategy with respect to the government cuts that generated suspicion between the Republicans and numerous demands. Before supporting Trump in July and becoming his greatest donor, Musk remained relatively outside politics and sometimes donated the Democrats. Earlier this month, he said he would spend “much less” in politics and on Wednesday he announced his outlet from the White House. While Musk and Trump seem to maintain a good relationship, Tesla’s executive director broke with the president earlier this week by criticizing Trump’s emblematic policy bill for increasing the federal deficit, declaring the CBS his “disappointment” with the legislation.
