National Financial (NAFIN) transferred more than 10,000 million pesos to the Treasury of the Federation that were in trusts operated by the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF), without this organ of the Judiciary to give its consent or any instruction, according to a note of the newspaper La Jornada.

The CJF denounced that he learned of the transfer by Nafin, despite the fact that these funds were under their administration and fiduciary control.

The resources were destined, among other things, to cover extraordinary payments to judges and magistrates who decided not to participate in the new judicial selection process or that are not elected, as established by the recent constitutional reform to the Judiciary.

The National Association of Magistrates and Judges (Jufed) warned that the State has breached these compensation, even for those who have already retired from office.

“In a new violation of rights, the Mexican State through its institutions, including this Council of the Federal Judiciary, has breached the extraordinary payment to the judges who have already separated on the occasion of the reform and have requested it, which implies a repetition to the transgression of the fundamental rights of the holders,” the environment cited.

The JUFED director demanded immediate payment, without conditioning it to budgetary availability, being a constitutional obligation, also requested that, in case of not being able to comply, the reason to be able to take defense actions will be reported with legal basis.
