Rockstar Games has been relatively quiet about Grand Theft Auto 6 since the last delay, but a couple of people involved in the game may have just leaked some interesting information. On social media, two music artists recently shared confirmations that they would be featured in the upcoming game.
As reported by videotechuk_ on X, a now-deleted Instagram comment from electronic band Panama claimed that their song “Back to Life” will be included in GTA 6. Separately, Alan Palamo, the composer for electronic band Neon Indian, mentioned in a Spotify podcast that the inclusion of his music in GTA 5 “ain’t the end of me in Rockstar Games.”

A Couple Of Familiar Sounds
Grand Theft Auto 5 featured the track “Always” from Panama, along with both “Change of Coast” and “Polish Girl” from Neon Indian. It sounds like Panama will once more get one slot on the soundtrack, while it’s not yet clear if Neon Indian will repeat the feat of two or more inclusions. Some fans are already excited about the news, like Reddit user Gavin_p, who deems both of Neon Indian’s GTA 5 tracks bangers.
Others are skeptical that these artists could have just killed their planned inclusions in the game, as Rockstar clearly doesn’t want anyone to be making announcements about what to expect in the game just yet. Removing the songs for these infractions might be overkill, though, especially in the case of Neon Indian simply teasing a future collaboration without any details.
Don’t Expect More Leaks Just Yet
The Rest Of The Soundtrack Will Have To Wait
GTA games are always filled to the brim with music, so tracks from Panama and Neon Indian should just be the tip of the iceberg for the soundtrack. However, we’re not likely to learn about any more possibilities until the next trailer, especially after Panama deleted its reference to a GTA 6 track.
For those desperately waiting for more information about GTA 6, it’s nice to see anything slip through the cracks. At this point, fans are eager to hear virtually anything except the announcement of another delay. Luckily, another delay is looking unlikely, as the latest Take-Two earnings report reiterated the November 19 release date and suggested that launch marketing will begin in earnest this summer.
For my part, I’m happy to take whatever music Rockstar decides to throw at us, as the studio’s curation has always been excellent in the past. I’m just hoping that Tom Petty’s “Love is a Long Road” will play as central a role in the game as it did in the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer.
