Brian and Karen Cohen scooped up a sponsor unit at Pontiac Land Group’s 50 West 53rd Street in Midtown. The unit first hit the market in 2020, with an asking price of $15.4 million. Douglas Elliman is handling sales at the property.
🏆 Commercial: The Eastchester section of the Bronx had the top commercial deal recorded in the Big Apple. UPS sold a 72,200-square-foot industrial building at 4275 Boston Road for $15.2 million or about $210 per square foot. The buyer was an LLC tied to Englewood, New Jersey-based Sitex Group, whose CEO is Brian Milberg. UPS will continue to lease the property, records show.
📊 Commercial: The Music Hall of Williamsburg at 66 North 6th Street sold for $14 million. The seller was Charlotte, North Carolina-based Asana Partners. The Bowery Presents, which runs the popular music venue, confirmed to the New York Post in December that its lease at the space would not be renewed. The building’s new owners are companies tied to Michael Weitzman.
📊 Residential: A trust tied to Mark Affolter, a portfolio manager at Ares, dropped $9.8 million on a condo at 16 Debrosses Street in Tribeca. The seller of the pad was Cooperlauritzen Properties LLC, which purchased the unit, a penthouse, in 2016 for $7.1 million. The unit measures about 3,300 square feet, pricing the deal at under $3,000 per square foot. Douglas Elliman had the listing.
📊 Residential: Alexandra and Maria Laracy paid $9.1 million for a penthouse at 225 Fifth Avenue in Nomad. The sellers were Alessandro and Renata Carlucci. The four-bedroom pad measures 2,900 square feet. It went on sale in September with an asking price of $9.8 million. Sotheby’s International Realty represented the sellers, who purchased the unit a decade ago for $7.9 million.
