The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that it has not set January 20 as the date to resume livestock imports from Mexico.

The agency blocked shipments in November over the discovery of the New World cattle screwworm in Mexico.

CME Group cattle futures prices came under pressure from a media report that cited unnamed sources saying feedlot imports into the Latin American nation are expected to partially resume the week of Jan. 20.
