There were 148 deals recorded, totaling about $192 million, on Thursday, June 26. 

🏆Residential: The top residential sale recorded in New York City goes to Canadian comedian Gad Elmaleh, who sold a condominium and storage unit at 124 Hudson Street in Tribeca for $7.6 million. The buyer was a company tied to psychologist Martine Van Milders. Elmaleh, who has a Netflix show and stand-up special, bought the units in 2016 for $7 million.

🏆Commercial: The top commercial deal recorded in New York was in Bedford-Stuyvesant. A company tied to Brooklyn developer Hershy Silberstein paid $10.8 million for a development site at 712 Myrtle Avenue. The seller was a company linked to Alexandra and Yehou Levy. Silberstein, the CEO of Bluesky Developers, recently filed plans with the city to construct a 60-apartment, mixed-use complex at 579 Sackett Street in Gowanus.

📊Residential: A Lincoln Square co-op at The Majestic sold for $5.2 million. Commercial litigation attorney Kenneth Forrest and his wife Ellen Forrest parted with their unit at 115 Central Park West to David Hudanish, a corporate attorney. The Forrests had owned the home since 2009, when they bought it for $4.1 million. They put the three-bedroom unit on the market in 2023 for $6.5 million. Sotheby’s International Realty’s Cathy Taub had the listing.

📊Residential: For $4.7 million, Ellen Beldner, a product management consultant, and Gadi Shamia, CEO and co-founder of an AI customer service platform, picked up a condo at 515 West 18th Street in Chelsea. The sellers were Jonathan Ackerman Curtis and Susan Jo Goldstein. They paid $4.4 million for the unit about three years ago. The sellers put the condo on the market in March with Compass’ Ian Slater and Eduardo Martinez, with an asking price of $5 million.

📊Residential: Juliette Brody, via a trust, offloaded a condo unit at the Trust Company Building at 138 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights. Michael Fitzsimmons and Christina Riggio-Fitzsimmons, both marketing leaders, dropped $4.2 million on the pad, which was asking about $4.4 million when the listing went live in September. The unit spans two floors and has an additional bonus loft space. Serhant’s Jennifer Lee represented Brody in the deal.

📊Commercial: Sharon Barnes sold a four-family brownstone at 177 Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene to Amy Shalimar Bennett. The price was $4.7 million. The townhouse dates back to 1899 and stands five stories tall. Spanning 6,200 square feet, the deal works out to about $760 per square foot. Barnes put the property on the market for just under $6 million in January 2024. Barnes’ agents were Suzanne Debrango and Ian Johnson of Brown Harris Stevens.
