Hulu has officially made everyone’s day with news about the future of Paradise.

Sterling K. Brown leads the cast of Paradise alongside Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers have also made appearances in the series as recurring guests.

It has been officially announced that Paradise will return for a third season on Hulu before season 2’s finale has even aired. Season 2’s finale is set to be released on March 20 after its staggering viewership stats, coming in at over 30 million hours streamed for the second season so far.

The series has received strong praise since its release, with its first season earning four Emmy nominations and acting nominations for Brown, Marsden, and Nicholson. Brown was nominated for a Golden Globe and won the NAACP Image Award for outstanding actor in a drama series. Paradise was created by Dan Fogelman, who also serves as executive producer and showrunner. The official logline for season 2 is:

“Xavier (Brown) searches for Teri (Okuma) out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of season one, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.”

It was previously announced by Brown that he would be preparing for the filming of season 3 from the end of March until mid-August, but he didn’t initially share whether a third season was even on the horizon. Executive producer and writer John Hoberg has also stated this is more of a three-season story, and a fourth season of Paradise would be “very difficult” to achieve. Despite there being no official release date for season 3, Fogelman has previously stated he wanted to release each season annually.

Paradise has been received very well by critics and audiences alike, with an 86% Rotten Tomatoes rating for season 1, followed by an even more impressive 90% rating for season 2. Critics have stated season 2 is “cleverly plotted” and even went as far as to say it’s “an early entry into one of the best TV shows of the year.”

Paradise is available to stream on Hulu, with the final episode of season 2 available for streaming on March 20.
