In the just-released trailer for Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, Paramount reveals a Jurassic Park-inspired version of one of its most popular franchises.

Paramount has released two movies in the animated franchise so far: Paw Patrol: The Movie and Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie. Now the studio is gearing up for a threequel, with The Dino Movie arriving in theaters on August 14.

This time around, as teased in the Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie trailer from Paramount, the fan-favorite characters land on a tropical island where dinosaurs roam. After a volcano erupts, the team gets ready for one of its biggest rescues ever.

Check out the Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie trailer below:

The Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie trailer begins with the Paw Patrol navigating stormy waters, as their ship crashes onto an island. At first, they’re impressed by what they see before them, but soon, they’re on a mission to figure out where they landed. “This doesn’t make any sense,” one of them says. “There’s no island on the map.”

Even though they’re venturing into uncharted territory, the team knows they’ll be prepared for whatever they come across.

As they gear up and set out to explore the island, giant dinosaurs come out of the jungle. “We are so not prepared! Run!” the pups yell out as they run away, with Rubble the bulldog exclaiming that he can’t run very fast because of his short legs.

The Paw Patrol characters soon realize that Dino Island is the “greatest discovery in the world,” but their awe quickly turns to fear as a volcanic eruption creates chaos. “We’ve got an island to save,” they declare.

Paw Patrol began in 2013 as a Nickelodeon TV show, which is still on the air and recently premiered its 13th season. A spinoff called Rubble & Crew debuted in 2023.

After years on TV, the pups ventured onto the big screen when Paramount released the first film, Paw Patrol: The Movie, in 2021. The sequel, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, arrived in theaters two years later. To date, the two movies have collectively grossed over $350 million.

The upcoming Dino Movie has an all-star voice cast that includes Mckenna Grace, Terry Crews, Jennifer Hudson, Fortune Feimster, Jameela Jamil, Bill Nye, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Carter Young, Meredith MacNeill, Ron Pardo, Hayden Chemberlen, Rain Janjua, Lucien Duncan-Reid, William Desrosiers, Nylan Parthipan and Henry Bolan.

Cal Brunker, who helmed the first two Paw Patrol movies, is back as director for The Dino Movie; he also co-wrote the script with Bob Barlen. Ronnen Harary, Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie and Toni Stevens serve as producers.

As teased in the trailer, the film will feature a brand-new song called “Bottle Up” by the Backstreet Boys.

Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie will be released in theaters on Friday, August 14, 2026.
