After the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) rejected the resources of Grupo Elektra and TV Azteca to challenge seven tax credits for 33,477 million pesos and Grupo Salinas responded that they will even go to international bodies for this case, President Claudia Sheinbaum asked that they better pay their taxes.
From Tecámac, where he attended the start of operations of the ISSSTE Family Medicine Clinics, Sheinbaum recalled that opponents have invested 90 million pesos in social networks to campaign against his government.
“How they like to throw us on social networks, today we present in the morning, do you know how much they allocated in the last campaign? Ninety million pesos to make people think that there is a movement against us, but in reality they buy accounts, bots they are called, robots, what they do is run campaigns on social networks, and since now many, especially young people, are on social networks, it seems like it is a movement against us,” he said.
Sheinbaum added that despite this campaign against him, the people are happy, therefore it is better, they should pay their taxes in reference to Ricardo Salinas Pliego.
“I told them that a tremendous campaign was coming or there has been a tremendous campaign, but we go out to the streets and the people are happy and it is better for them to pay their taxes instead of paying for campaigns, right?” he highlighted.

The president assured that her government defends the rule of law and believes in democracy, therefore, as Benito Juárez said, no one is above the law.
“Of course, no authoritarianism, we believe in democracy, we believe in freedom, but as Juárez said: ‘No one and nothing above the law’, those of us who defend the rule of law are those who are governing, the first thing we defend is the rule of law, it is the laws, and we also defend the rights of the people of Mexico,” he assured.
