Sources from the Department of Defense confirmed to Efe that the US armed forces made a “precision attack” against a vessel that was operated by an organization designated as “narcoterrorist” in an anti -drug operation near Venezuela.
“The United States military forces carried out a precision attack against a drug trafficking vessel operated by an organization designated as a narcoterrorist,” said high -level defense officials, which added that details of the operation will be published later.
This afternoon, the US president, Donald Trump, had praised the “incredible” head of the Joint Chief, Dan Caine, who put him aware of the attack against a vessel supposedly from Venezuela full of drugs, a movement confirmed shortly after by the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, through an X message.
“We have a lot of drugs that have arrived in our country for a long time, and these come from Venezuela. They leave in large amounts of Venezuela. Many things are leaving Venezuela, so we eliminate it (the ship),” added the president.
“As reported by the president of the United States a few moments ago, today the United States Army carried out a lethal attack in the southern Caribbean against a drug ship that had left Venezuela and that was being operated by an organization designated as a narcoterrorist,” Rubio wrote.
The US has deployed eight military ships with missiles and a nuclear propulsion submarine in Caribbean Sea areas close to the coast of Venezuela to combat drug trafficking that “pollute” the streets of the American country.
