34% of the population over 18 years of age surveyed by Inegi in the third quarter considered that in the next 12 months, the crime and insecurity situation in their city will continue to be just as bad, an increase of 2.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
Furthermore, 23.9% of the participants in the National Urban Public Safety Survey reported that the situation will worsen in the next 12 months, a statistically significant increase of 3.9 percentage points compared to September 2024.

In contrast, 16.3% of people responded that the situation of crime and insecurity in their
city will continue just as well, and 24.9% stated that it will improve.
The statistics institute published this Thursday that 63% of the population surveyed feels unsafe, a figure higher than the 58.6% in the same period last year.
