MEXICO CITY, (EFE) .- The Organization Somos México, also known as Rosa Marea, presented on Monday a ‘Amicus Curiae’ before the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF), in order to boost the nullity of the first judicial election in the country, held on June 2.
The document, delivered to the Court, does not constitute a formal appeal for challenge, but a legal instrument that provides evidence and citizen arguments.
Rodrigo Morales, former electoral councilor and coordinator of the so -called ‘antimapache brigades’, explained that it is a tool that “presents allegations, evidence and points of view for the Court to value whether the election must be canceled”.
Among the elements provided, the organization indicated documented irregularities throughout the country as the massive distribution of ballots with names and numbers of candidates related to Morena, known as ‘accordions’, the anomalous transfer of electoral packages, the absence of representatives in boxes and cases of urns filling in collection centers.
Rosario Guerra, a member of the collective, said that “the judicial election was not free, democratic or valid.”

In his opinion, since the design of the process there were structural failures that prevented basic conditions of equity and legality, generating what he described as a “state choice.”
Amicus also points out the impression of ballots with retired candidates, the exclusion of voters in preventive detention, with disabilities or residents abroad, as well as the resignation of the Technical Evaluation Committee, which would have resulted in a messy process.
Mariana Vega, also coordinator of the Brigade, said that “there was not a single state where accordions were not distributed” and that in all cases “those who appeared there (on ballots), they won.”
In addition, they criticized that the INE did not supervise the origin of the resources used for that propaganda.
The appeal also qualifies the judicial reform as “vitiated of origin”, considering that it was promoted by a legislative majority achieved through transfuguism, without processes of consultation or public participation.

In addition, we are Mexico requested that, when resolving, the Court issues a clear pronouncement on the validity of the rule of law.
