It is hard to believe that it was way back in 1996 that the Pokémon franchise began, and even harder to believe that it has now been 30-years since that fateful day. To celebrate, Nintendo is showcasing all that the monster-catching franchise has to offer by releasing much-loved remakes and even announcing brand-new TCG sets for the summer.
However, it is safe to assume that many more announcements are set to come, as The Pokémon Company has just announced that it will be hosting its annual Pokémon Presents showcase in just a week’s time.
Pokémon Gen 10’s Reveal Date Has Been All But Confirmed
Set to air on 27 February at 2pm GMT / 3pm CET / 6am PT / 9am ET, this year’s Pokémon Presents will no doubt be the biggest yet, with the series celebrating 30 whole years as one of the biggest franchises in the world. Viewers will be able to watch along on the official The Pokémon Company Youtube page and its official air times based on region are as follows:
- North America: 6am PST / 7am MST / 8am CST / 9am EST
- UK/Ire: 2pm GMT
- Europe: 3pm CET / 4pm EET
- Asia/Oceania: 11pm JST / 10pm AWST / 1am (Fri) AEDT
This Pokémon Day marks the beginning of Pokémon’s 30-year celebration! Start the festivities off right by tuning in to a new Pokémon Presents presentation on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. PST. Visit the official Pokémon YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, or TikTok channel at that time to get the latest news and updates from the world of Pokémon—then get ready for a year’s worth of Pokémon fun!
So what could this showcase feature? At the time of writing, nothing has yet been revealed, but we already know that remakes of Pokémon FireRed & Pokémon LeafGreen have already been announced, but whether this was on purpose or not remains to be seen. However, one thing that fans are most excited about seeing is the unveiling of Gen 10 of Pokémon.
February 27 Is Hardly A Surprise, Since It’s Pokémon Day
So could 27 February finally be the day that we get our Gen 10 announcement? It would definitely make sense with it being the biggest day on the calendar for Pokémon fans AND it is celebrating its 30th anniversary. However, with many other Pokémon projects also in the works right now, such as Pokémon Pokopia and the Pokémon FireRed & Pokémon LeafGreen remake, The Pokémon Company may be biting off more than it can chew. Unfortunately, if Gen 10 is not finally unveiled, fans will be donning that clown makeup once more.
