Dante Delgado, national leader of the Citizen Movement (MC), revealed yesterday during a party assembly in Veracruz that he suffers from stomach cancer.

“Before the doctor told me that I had a stomach cancer problem, I had scheduled events with the consent of the National Operating Commission, so we also planned to be in a family relationship on Friday the 18th, and there to have this event; Maybe spend a few days in the land that you know I love so much,” he reported.

“I want to tell you that I had to be here for a family issue on Friday and an institutional MC issue yesterday in Mexico City, the National Commission of Women in Movement and return today to be with you,” she added in her speech.

Delgado spoke about his condition at the Fourth Assembly of MC Delegates, held yesterday in Xalapa, the state capital.

It turned out that Delgado has already undergone surgery and is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment.

Last August, Delgado himself had announced that he underwent successful surgery, although he did not offer more details at that time.

“As a result of the latest clinical analysis, the doctors recommended a surgical intervention, which was successfully performed last Wednesday, August 14. “I am pleased to inform you that yesterday I was discharged,” he said then.

MC is expected to elect his successor on December 5, with former presidential candidate Jorge Álvarez Máynez being one of the main contenders.
