However, lawyer Jeff Joseph, president of Aila, warned Monday at a press conference that “the reality” is that the number of employers who depend on the innovation of the H1-B visa is much greater than that of technological companies.
“We talk about hospitals, universities, medical and rural dentists, renewable energies, oil and gas, manufacturing, engineering, clergy, finance, infrastructure, architecture, lawyers, public accountants, transport, which will be affected,” the lawyer delved.
Joseph added that small non -profit companies and organizations that need these workers will be the most affected by not being able to pay the cost for H1B visas. “In the end, the true losers in this situation are not those to whom the government points out,” he said.

Shev Dalal-Dheini, director of Aila government relations, criticized the measure presented by Lutnick that, in her opinion, was designed “to create the greatest possible chaos.”
The lawyers expressed frustration for the little information that the White House has given about the collection that affects only the new petitioners and who could be exempt on.
“We do not know how the rate of $ 100,000 is paid, although the proclamation is already in force, and we do not know what they want to say with new request,” said Dalal-Dheini.
