Pemex’s commercial arm director, Margarita Pérez, left her position this Thursday and will be replaced by Adam Garcia, current non -tax revenue chief and hacienda hydrocarbons, the company told Reuters.
The appointment of Garcia, an economist who has held positions in Pemex and the Ministry of Energy, will be discussed on Friday in the Board of Directors of the oil company, said a spokesman for the company.

However, he added, without giving further details, that “unforeseen people can occur.”
PMI International Trade, as the Pemex marketing arm is known, is responsible for the state’s crude oil exports and also performs fuel imports that the oil company markets within Mexico.
Pérez had returned to PMI – where he had a long career – to assume the position of director after the arrival in the presidency of Claudia Sheinbaum in October 2024. She said goodbye to her team in an email to which Reuters had access.
One of the sources said Pérez has already introduced Garcia as his replacement.
