Robert De Niro was on Tuesday the great protagonist of the first red carpet of the 78th edition of the Cannes Festival, before the opening ceremony in which he will receive the golden palm of honor.
De Niro arrived accompanied by his partner, the film producer Tiffany Chen, and toured the red carpet that gave access to the great Théâtre Lumière.
They were almost the last to arrive, only ahead of the team of the Festival’s opening film, the French ‘Split a Jour’.

The guests had begun to arrive almost two hours earlier, with the beautiful background music that Francis Lai composed for ‘A Homme et Une femme’ (1966), a film that stars in the poster of the 78th edition of Cannes, with a double version of a hug among its protagonists, Anouk Aimée and Jean Louis Trintignant.
Jeremy Strong, one of the jury members of the official competition of Cannes, was one of the most caught attention with his pink salmon tuxedo.
While the president of the jury, Juliette Binoche, wore an original white pants with top from which a touched that covered her head, and another of her companions in the task of judging films, Halle Berry, wore a dress of wide white and blue stripes.
The Brazilian models Alessandra Ambrosio and Isabeli Fontana, the filmmakers Quentin Tarantino or Sean Baker, who last year took the golden palm of Cannes by ‘Anora’, the F1 F1 pilot Carlos Sáinz, the Spanish actress Rossy de Palma, the American Julia Garner or the Italian Pierfesco Favino, also passed through the car.
