Robert De Niro was on Tuesday the great protagonist of the first red carpet of the 78th edition of the Cannes Festival, before the opening ceremony in which he will receive the golden palm of honor.
De Niro arrived accompanied by his partner, the film producer Tiffany Chen, and toured the red carpet that gave access to the great Théâtre Lumière.
They were almost the last to arrive, only ahead of the team of the Festival’s opening film, the French ‘Split a Jour’.

While the president of the jury, Juliette Binoche, wore an original white pants with top from which a touched that covered her head, and another of her companions in the task of judging films, Halle Berry, wore a dress of wide white and blue stripes.
