Rommel Pacheco, head of the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE), confirmed that there are ongoing investigations against its predecessor, Ana Gabriela Guevara, for alleged irregularities in its management, according to the newspaper La Jornada.
Pacheco explained that the inquiries are in the hands of the Superior Audit of the Federation and the internal control body, who carry the corresponding process.

From the National Palace, where he participated in the presidential conference, he stressed that government instruction is to make the Conade a transparent body and close to athletes, in addition to promoting social sport to combat violence and addictions in the country.
The exclavadista said that, although Conade is not a prosecutor’s office, violations of the rules of operation will not be tolerated.
He also recalled that the agency is under the Ministry of Public Education and works in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
