Beast’s newest trailer has arrived, offering an emotionally charged glimpse at a comeback story fueled by family drama and the need for redemption.

Led by Daniel MacPherson as retired MMA fighter Patton James, the trailer wastes no time establishing its stakes. The first look shows the protagonist’s younger brother lying injured in a hospital bed, and a voice over that explains how he owes some dangerous people a lot of money. This is the catalyst that forces him back into an industry that he thought he had left behind for good.

Beast also stars Russell Crowe, who co-wrote the film, as Sammy, Patton’s former trainer who transformed him into the champion that he was during his glory days. In Beast’s new trailer, Crowe’s character hands his former client a six-month contract, telling him that he had seven weeks to sign. The preview depicts Sammy and a volatile figure who has his own agenda, making him a seemingly untrustworthy partner.

The trailer reveals intense training sequences, flashes of brutal fights, and his most intimidating opponent, Gabriel Stone, who is portrayed by Luke Hemsworth. The fighter appears to be Beast’s biggest antagonist, and he seems to be willing to do anything to destroy Patton’s legacy in front of a global audience.

While the trailer is very action-packed, it also shows that Beast will include a lot of character-driven drama, too. There is clearly a lot of tension between all parties involved. Patton is also struggling with the idea of stepping back into the spotlight, and the preview makes it clear that his brother’s debt is the only reason why he’s returning to the MMA. This implies that there will likely be a lot of resentment between the brothers throughout the film.

Directed by Tyler Atkins, Beast also features a strong supporting cast. The film will star Bren Foster (Xavier Grau), Amy Shark (Rose), Mojean Aria (Malon), George Burgess (Neal), Saphira Moran (Nadine James), and Kelly Gale (Luciana) alongside Crowe, MacPherson, and Hemsworth.

Beast will be released in theaters on April 10, 2026.
