The Russian government on Wednesday described the “unacceptable attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a friendly country” the military action that Israel made against the Islamist group Hamás in Doha.
The statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Serguéi Lavrov, who talked with his counterpart of Catar, Mohamed Bin Abdulrahman to Thani, expressing “his firm condemnation of this aggressive act, considered as a flagrant violation of international law.”
In addition, Lavrov expressed their “sincere condolences to families and loved ones of deceased catari citizens, along with their wishes for rapid recovery for those who were injured.”

The Israeli attack was aimed at the negotiating delegation of the Islamism group during a meeting to discuss the last American proposal for the truce in Gaza.
Hamas announced that five of its members died in the attack, although none of the negotiating delegation.
Meanwhile, Al Thani expressed his gratitude for “the clear and principles of Russia in support of the sovereignty and independence of the state of Qatar.
Also “for their efforts to safeguard their independence and territorial integrity.”
