The SAT recalled that it made online registration available to Mexican people without tax obligations in Mexico who live abroad.
Registration in the Federal Taxpayer Registry has helped compatriots carry out procedures such as opening bank accounts in national territory, buying and selling land or notarial procedures, the Treasury collecting body reported in a statement.
He added that from October 1 to December 26, 1,117 Mexicans abroad with residence in more than 16 countries had registered with the RFC through the Virtual Office.
The United States is the main country with procedures carried out, with a total of 42 cities.
What are the requirements?
- Register an appointment at https://citas.sat.gob.mx/, select the Virtual Office Registration option, and choose “Registration of Mexicans living abroad”

- Consular registration with address abroad and in Mexico and, if you do not have it, valid official identification and proof of address in Mexico.
