The SAT said that it is false that Congress has approved that workers of the collecting body can carry firearms for the fulfillment of their functions.
He indicated that the main objective of the reform of the Law of Fire and Explosives is to strengthen control over the possession and use of weapons in Mexico, as well as harden the sanctions against its illicit and more strict traffic, the carrying and commercialization.
Through an informative card, the SAT said that the Decree project indicates that public bodies that obtain the official collective license, by the Ministry of National Defense, can only use the authorized armament in official and public security functions.

“It is necessary to specify that this institution has a license authorized by the Secretariat of National Defense, only and exclusively in the ‘Private Security in the Assets’, which provides security and protection services to SAT facilities and buildings,” he said.
He said that this means that his administrative staff does not carry, nor will we carry weapons for the development of their daily functions.
