‘Sesame Street’ (‘Sesame Place’) reached an agreement with Netflix to save one of the most famous children’s series in the world of financial ruin, the company reported Monday.
“’Sesame Street’ has been a fundamental pillar of children Netflix, Tudum.
The new season, scheduled for the end of the year worldwide, will present new format changes, such as the return of sections such as ‘Elmo’s World’ (the world of Elmo) or Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck (the food truck of the cookie monster).

In addition, the episodes will focus on 11 minutes stories, “which will allow a humor and feeling even more focused on the characters,” Netflix added.
The agreement is an important stimulus for ‘Sesame Workshop’, a non -profit institution with more than half a century of history dedicated to the production of this children’s series, which is mired in a financial crisis.
The organization fired about 20% of its staff this year after the exhaustion of several subsidies and the end of the distribution agreement since 2015 with the HBO online content platform, the New York Times reported.
