President Claudia Sheinbaum reported that the Nestlé company will invest 1,000 million dollars in Mexico and the Medline Industries firm will invest another 250 MDD, which together total an amount of 1,250 million pesos.
The president said that Nestlé’s investment will occur in the next three years and will be to increase the production of different products that he elaborates in the country.
“We appreciate this visit a lot and also shows this important alliance of this company in our country. Nestlé is 94 years old in Mexico and now they make us this great announcement. They have a new plant in Veracruz and will be extended even more in the different plants they have in Mexico, ”he said.
The Swiss origin said that the announced investment is a great opportunity to strengthen confidence in Mexico and the government, and is one of the great opportunities offered by the Nation.
Meanwhile, Medline Industries, an American company in the health care sector, focused on the manufacture and distribution of medical supplies, will invest the 250 million pesos in its plant in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
