President Claudia Sheinbaum stressed the importance of unity between the Government and the private sector to face commercial challenges with the United States, during a meeting with business leaders in the National Palace.
The president stressed that the national strength and competitiveness of the region must be the pillars of the relationship with the neighboring country, reaffirming that dialogue and cooperation are essential to consolidate economic growth.
The meeting occurred after agreeing with President Donald Trump a one -month pause to the imposition of 25%tariffs, initially scheduled for February 1, and who have now postponed at the beginning of March.
“Sovereignty is not negotiated (…) What we have to look for by the United States government is dialogue (…) and I will tell you that it gave me another huge strength, the union we achieved,” said Sheinbaum.
