President Claudia Sheinbaum on Wednesday wished “all the best” to Mexican families inside and outside the country and assured that in 2026 she will continue to dedicate herself “body and soul” to the well-being of the population.
In a video message published on her social networks, the president stressed that the close of 2025 and the arrival of the New Year 2026 is a moment of reflection and annual balance.
“That they spend it very close to the families, they are moments of reflection, we always recount what happened this year and good wishes for next year,” Sheinbaum said in the audiovisual.
In his message, Sheinbaum took the opportunity to expressly mention the migrant communities in the United States, at the end of the year marked by public attention on the bilateral relationship with the United States on trade, immigration and security issues.
As part of his message, Sheinbaum wished “health, a lot of well-being and above all a lot of love” to the families and “to his neighbor,” and added an explicit reference to national identity: “to our homeland, to Mexico.”

In the same statement, the president maintained that in 2026 she will continue to focus on public service, stating that next year she will continue to “dedicate herself body and soul to the good of all Mexicans.”
The message closed with a call for encouragement and celebration for the country, in line with the end of the year tradition in Mexico.
“Long live Mexico and long live all of you! Happy New Year!” exclaimed the president.
With this statement, Sheinbaum placed the emphasis on the family unit and the bond with Mexicans abroad, a segment that maintains a relevant social weight due to its community ties and its presence in the national public conversation, particularly in periods of high mobility and temporary return associated with the holiday season.
