President Claudia Sheinbaum said Thursday that problems with a higher salt content have been resolved than usual in the oil that pumps and exports the state energy company Pemex.
Mexico is an important supplier of the American refineries already mid -February Sheinbaum and the general director of Pemex, Víctor Rodríguez, admitted that some platforms had produced raw with greater salt and water content.

“The problem of salt with salt was solved,” Sheinbaum said during his usual morning press conference, adding that the new Olmeca refinery, in the port of Dos Bocas, was also progressing.
Reuters reported earlier on Thursday that Pemex has been in conversations with potential buyers in Asia, including China, and Europe, while looking for alternative markets that do not face tariffs.
Mexico is a great producer, but the production of the oldest oil fields in the country, mostly in the Gulf of Mexico, has collapsed in recent years.
