The Wilf family has grand ambitions to take to the sky with a new development in the Upper East Side.

Skyline Developers filed plans for a 34-story residential building at 185 East 80th Street, Crain’s reported. The Department of Buildings plans detail a 244,000-square-foot, 508-foot-tall property with 66 residential units; it’s not yet clear if those would be rentals or condos.

The development would include 23 basement parking spots, ground floor retail space and rooms geared towards laundry, pet care, exercise and billiards.

The building would replace a four-story building on the corner lot between Third and Lexington avenues, which contains six apartments and a pair of commercial units occupied by a locksmith and a shuttered cleaners. The Wilfs filed permits last month to demolish the property and three adjacent structures.

Leonard Wilf, the father of Skyline founder Orin Wilf, acquired the four properties in 2022 for a combined $50.1 million. Skyline did not return a request for comment from Crain’s.

The Midtown-based firm’s most prominent Manhattan holdings may be the identical five-story mansions at 13 and 15 West 54th Street, a landmarked property known as Rockefeller Towers. Skyline has also developed several notable Manhattan condo projects, including 200 East 79th Street.

Under a separate family entity, Garden Homes, the Wilf family recently proposed building an apartment community of nearly 500 units across four buildings in a forest on top of a mountain in West Orange, New Jersey. The project would include 100 apartments for low- and medium-income residents but is facing resistance due to environmental concerns.

Elsewhere on the Upper East Side, Alchemy-ABR filed plans for a 28-story project at 1484 First Avenue that would span 161,000 square feet with 86 residential units.
