Skyrim Officially Returns In The Last DLC We Ever Saw Coming

Since it was first released back in 2011, there is no denying that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has gone on to inspire multiple video games that have followed, especially in the RPG genre. However, this brand-new release just goes to show that inspiration can appear in many forms and now, the world of Skyrim has returned in the most unlikely way.

Forget a brand-new fantasy RPG with dragons and rogue chickens, this new release shows just how much the Bethesda world has inspired that which comes after.

Skyrim Is Officially Back… As Pinball

Yes, you read that correctly. Three of Bethesda’s most successful franchises: The Elder Scrolls, DOOM, and Fallout, have come together for classic arcade action in Bethesda Pinball. Available now for just £12.49, this themed arcade game will see fans get to live out their past adventures across a series of pinball tables. More specifically, it will be found in Pinball FX, Pinball M, Pinball FX VR, and Zen Pinball World, all of which are available across multiple platforms.

For fans of Bethesda’s worlds, this is less about saving the universe and more about keeping the ball alive.

In Bethesda Pinball, players will get to try out the classic arcade game inspired by the worlds of DOOM, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Fallout, but rather than just whacking the logo on it and calling the day, each pinball table will incorporate elements of the game as well as characters and objectives.

I’m Honestly Kinda Here For This

Developed and published by Zen Studios, Bethesda Pinball will include leaderboards, score tracking, and social features, allowing you to compete against friends, but if you are still not convinced, and I will admit that it is pretty out there, there is still more to learn about this bizarre collaboration.

In the Fallout version, players will be placed in a post-apocalyptic setting with faction choices, Vault exploration, and even a rogue Bobblehead being incorporated across the way. Featuring Fallout’s infamous humor, atmosphere, and exploration, this is pinball like you have never seen before.

If you are more of a DOOM fan, then DOOM pinball variation is guaranteed to blow your ears out with sounds and VFX inspired by the relentless enemy-slaying world. With chaotic multi-ball sequences and fast-moving challenges, this one is guaranteed to keep your focus.

Last but certainly not least is the table inspired by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. With more of an emphasis on exploration and adventure, this pinball experience will see players craft gear, trade items, complete side quests, and even confront Alduin himself in a slower, yet more strategic, experience.

Offering a unique version of some of your favorite Bethesda titles, this is a collaboration that we never knew we needed, and they are all available now in Pinball FX, Pinball M, Pinball FX VR, and Zen Pinball World. Who knew Skyrim would get new DLC after all this time?
