Paco de Miguel, best known for being the ‘mother of the internet’, is an observer. All the time he sees the situations that happen around him that later serve as inspiration to create his own videos.
“I have always been an imitator as well,” says the comedian, but before becoming a content creator, his life, he says, “was very normal.” “A kid from high school, his friends, his party, his family too, but very normal, very far from the media.”
His creativity first found a place on the defunct social network Vine, where six-second videos could be posted. “I was a little boy, about 13 years old, and that’s where I started. Then I left it and with the arrival of the pandemic, a moment that kept us all locked up, it was my escape, my moment to be able to have fun, myself first, to be able to entertain others,” he remembers.
But not everything has been easy, one of the main challenges he has faced as a content creator is innovating to stay current. “See what’s next. This already hit you, but it won’t be for life. You have to look for something new to always be in constant innovation and always in people’s eyes,” he says.
As a good “mother” she shares her secret recipe: consistency in creating videos, something that has allowed her to strengthen her various characters within digital audiences and in turn has opened new opportunities for her. “Doors opened for me to participate in series, movies, reality shows. “Social networks open the way for you,” he mentions.
Paco de Miguel participated in the series “La casa de las flores” (Netflix), in the program “Vecinos” (Televisa) and in “LOL” (Prime Video), as well as in the reality shows “Lamascara”, “Bake off celebrity” and “MasterChef Celebrity 2024”.
As a content creator he has had good and bad experiences. Among the positive ones is that people approach him and tell him that his content has helped them in sad or difficult times.
“And through my videos they managed to have a good time. For me that is wonderful, you don’t realize how far the things you do can go, you can literally save a person who was in a very bad moment,” he says.
Among the negative experiences is the intolerance of some people towards what they do. “They show it in a way that is not correct, in a violent way and that is where it is wrong. Social networks are a difficult place, where maybe not everyone will like you,” he comments.

In the future he sees himself producing his own content and bringing his multiverse of characters to the big screen, and continuing to create content.
While for the new generations looking to become content creators, he recommends that they give it a try, lose their fear and have fun. “Maybe you will feel sorry for them, but it doesn’t matter, upload it, have fun, and you will realize that if you believe in your own project and in your own being, you will achieve it.”
