An ultra-modern Southampton home has found a buyer after years on the market.
The 11,000-square-foot manse at 951 Flying Point Road closed for $22.5 million, according to Bespoke president and co-founder Cody Vichinsky, who had the listing.
The home, which sits on nearly three acres of land, had a last asking price of $30 million and had been on and off the market since construction was completed in 2019.
The seller, who bought the land in 2016 for $10.6 million, built the nine-bedroom for himself but ultimately wasn’t going to spend enough time in the Hamptons, according to Vichinsky.
The seller had been renting the home, designed by Barnes Coy Architects, while it was on the market for as much as $1.6 million for the summer season, Vichinsky said.
“It was just really waiting for the right person to come and appreciate its architecture,” he added.
The four-level home has a curved white stucco exterior, padauk wood siding and board-former concrete, and sits between Channel Pond and Mecox Bay.
Retractable walls of glass and floor-to-ceiling windows let in light from all directions, which is contrasted with the dark stone staircase in the foyer. The primary wing has dual walk-in closets, two showers and an en suite guest room.
The home also features a two-bedroom staff wing, a media and rec room, six-car garage, an infinity-edge pool on the 3,100-square-foot terrace, tennis court and 200 feet of water frontage on Channel Pond.
The rooftop deck also holds 800 square feet of outdoor living space.
Sotheby’s International Realty’s Michaela Keszler brought the buyer.
The property is representative of the push east from large-scale modern builders into an area that has been traditionally associated with the classic shingle style.

The nearly three-acre lot at 975 Flying Point, which directly abuts its sleek neighbor, was last on the market asking $10.8 million in 2023.
